This park, located near the center of Busan, has five themes; memory, culture, pleasure, nature, and participation. There are 97 species of 85,000 trees, a park history museum, a small stream, a fountain, artificial sand beach, maze, pond, squares, play equipments for children, cafes and many more. They maintain this park under the slogan, 'Barrier free park, Ubiquitous park, safe park, alcohol free park, and nature park'.
◎History
Most people may think that no special history exist for Busan Citizen Park because it was built only in 2014, barely few months ago. However, you would be surprised to hear that the park actually, has a long, interesting history. When you enter the park's website, the following sentence can be read; “100 years of waiting, eternal meeting” in what looks like wheels within wheels. To understand this, one must look through the history of Korea. During the era of Japanese colonization, these wheels were used in racecourses. Then, during World War 2, these were used to support the Japanese imperial army. Even after Korea gained its independence, the wheels were used by the U.S. armed forces that were stationed in Korea. After being used so long by foreign countries, the wheels have finally returned to its true owner, the citizens of Busan in 2010. In other words, these wheels are like the bandage to Korea's wounded history.

The roads of Busan citizen park are specailly made to feel comfortable for the joggers feet. This park also has really nice view with fountains and books, which is why many couples choose this place for their date.
