One of my favorite idioms in Korean is "배 속에 거지가 들었다." Let's break it up simply here:

= "stomach"
= "inside" or "depths"
거지 = "beggar"
들다 = "to enter,""to go in"

So, a beggar went into my stomach? Pretty much, yes. Find out more about this idiom (and what it means to have a beggar in your stomach) by watching the video below!

Korean Phrases Ep. 31: 배 속에 거지가 들었다
