On Thursday, a hearing on whether to include sexual minorities in the Seoul non-discrimination charter was cancelled when 200 gay rights opponents stormed City Hall with many of the opponents part of the Christian Council of Korea. The English article doesn't go into much detail, but Oh My News describes the scene as chaos. In other crazy things that Christians do, on the 18th there was a forum held at the National Assembly Member's Office Building to discuss repentance and confession of an ex-gay's past: "If you accept the gospel, healing is possible". Right. Christian Daily writes that for Ex-homosexuals, healing is easier than leaving homosexuality as it stands. Christian Today writes on the so-called News conference on the false claims that homosexuality is innate (Korean).

Forum Discussing Casting Off Homosexuality

The Korea Observer Reports that a a sergeant was arrested for homosexual rape of an 18-year-old soldier. While the sergeant stated it was consensual sex, the soldier accuses the sergeant of repeated sexual assault.

In pop culture, Modern Farmer had an episode where Lee Shi-eon mistakes Mina for a lesbian (Korean). Not the most interesting plot device. Just like last week, actors go on talk shows and talk about going to a queer bar to work on a role. This time, Jeong Seong-hwa talked about visiting gay and transgender bars for his role in Le Cage Aux Folles.
