Fung-Wong Storm updates
From Accuweather
Rainfall of 50-100 millimeters (2-4 inches) is expected to fall across a large portion of South Korea and southern and central Japan which will lead to the threat of isolated flooding. However, the greatest threat of widespread, heavy rain appears to be across South Korea and the islands of Kyushu, Shikoku and southern Honshu in Japan. In these areas, rainfall up to 150 millimeters (6 inches) is possible leading a high concern for flash flooding and mudslides.
While there will be a gusty wind across the region, widespread damaging winds are not expected to be a concern.
By later Thursday, the remains of Fung-wong will move to the east of Japan, and conditions will begin to improve, though showers will likely remain.

Heavy rains will lash the country on Wednesday as Fung-Wong, the 16th typhoon of this year, is moving north, the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast.
Fung-Wong is the Cantonese for Phoenix.
The typhoon will gradually lose steam as it passes about 90 km west-southwest of Shanghai on Tuesday afternoon and will cease to exist 90 km southwest of Mokpo, South Jeolla Province around 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to weather forecasts.
Despite being a weak tropical storm, Fung-Wong is expected to bring more than 150 mm of heavy rain with strong winds throughout the country on Tuesday and Wednesday.
