Bo-gyung, should we be alarmed?
There is some cause for concern, yes.
The typhoon is accompanied by STRONG WINDS blowing at a rate of over 50 meters per second. At this pace, it's set to hit Okinawa, Japan tomorrow, and land in waters south of Jeju by Wednesday.
Typhoon Neoguri should bring nationwide showers tomorrow, which may continue through Wednesday. Conditions look to be nice and sunny for the rest of the week.

Typhoon Neoguri, the second typhoon of this year’s tropical cyclone season, is rapidly intensifying and will affect southern parts of Korea as well as Japan this week as it moves northwest over the Western Pacific, the Korea Metrological Administration said.
The typhoon, which was churning toward Okinawa, Japan, yesterday, is expected to take a northern trajectory and hit Jeju Island and Korea’s southern reaches from Wednesday through Thursday, according to the weather agency.
Neoguri yesterday sustained winds of about 169 kilometers per hour (105 miles per hour) as of 3p.m., the agency added, rating the wind “very strong.”
The storm has rapidly intensified since its formation on Friday into the strongest tropical cyclone this year in the Western Pacific basin
From Accuweather
Neoguri, once a super typhoon, still poses a serious threat to lives and property in Japan.
Neoguri intensified into a super typhoon early Monday morning local time (Sunday afternoon EDT). Currently Neoguri is a typhoon with maximum sustained winds of 205 kph (125 mph).
The typhoon will continue to pass through an area of very warm water and low wind shear (strong winds above the surface that can shred tropical systems apart) over the next 24 hours which will keep the cyclone dangerously strong and could cause some re-strengthening.
Dry air that wrapped into the system on Monday caused the storm's intensity to slip slightly.
Residents and visitors in the path of this intensifying and dangerous storm should already be taking the necessary preparations and heed all evacuation orders.
AccuWeather.com meteorologists expect Neoguri to be close to super typhoon status when it crosses the gap between the Ryukyu Islands of Miyako Jima and Okinawa on Tuesday, local time.
Neoguri is expected to track 75-100 miles west of Okinawa. Okinawa will likely get the worst impact from the cyclone late Monday night through Tuesday with rainfall rates of 50 mm (2 inches) or greater per hour at times, sustained winds as high as 160 kph (100 mph) with gusts up to 210 kph (130 mph).
