Hey there, readers. It’s me again. I hope I haven’t managed to lose too many of you over the past few weeks. I know this probably isn’t the update you were hoping for, but it’s the best I could do for now.
Before I go on, let me just apologize for the sudden disappearance without offering any sort of explanation. Also, despite having stuff regarding the ferry disaster sitting on the front page for so long, the tragedy was not at all the reason for my absence. Honestly speaking, it wasn’t supposed to be up for longer than a week.
While I won’t go into too many details as to what exactly went down (sorry), as the comic says, I had to go home for almost a month after receiving news of a serious family emergency. This was quite possibly the first time I dropped everything here in Korea and caught the first plane back to the states. Here’s hoping it’s the last. I’m still feeling pretty jet lagged.
On the bright side, things seem to be getting better. I’m still not too happy with how 2014 has been going so far, but there’s still a lot of year left for it to be awesome.
To those of you that may still be tuning in, thanks for sticking around. I hope to continue to entertain you with silly, anecdotal comics, though writing about life in Korea has been growing more and more difficult with each strip. Does that officially make me a jaded veteran? Maybe it’s a sign that I need to go home soon. Perhaps it’s time to change things up a bit. Either way, I’ll continue to try my best!
