What we have heard: Maakholic is on the upscale end of makgeolli bars, specializing in hard-to-get kinds of mkageolli and also champagne. Being in the neighborhood of apgujeong/cheongdam it has a reputation for having premium quality ingredients for food and top notch makgeolli. They also claim to be specialists in makgeolli cocktails, a claim also made by some of its rivals (Chez Mak, Moon Jar). A number of people have recommended Maakholic for its comfortable atmosphere, and the patio looks like it would be ideal in the summer.
