Usually, it is in a light hearted way, but I've heard stories of students targeting effeminate students and sometimes even the teachers ganging up on them. Although it may be hard to confront your teacher about their behavior, I found this PDF on Chingusai's website and had to share. The document is in Korean and could be a good resource in your classroom. Although the chances of students coming out are slim, it wouldn't hurt to have this in the office.
