Hope for Korea is a ministry working under Teen Challenge Korea. It was started four years ago. Since then they have been out on the streets every Sunday afternoon and evening handing out clothes and food to the homeless.
More about Hope for Korea from their website:
Our Vision for Hope for Korea is James 1:27, which says, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
When do we meet? We meet every Sunday from 3pm to 6pm near Yeongdeung-po station where we have a brief meeting and then head out to the streets.
Who can join? Hope for Korea desires to see everyone get involved in society and that is why we welcome anyone to get involved with us.
If you would like to join us in helping people, there are many ways you can help.
1: If you would like to join us as we go out every Sunday, please email us. We require meeting over a cup of coffee in order to get to know you first.
2:If you have any donations, please email us because we need almost everything.
3: Prayer is also appreciated.
The reason: Work with the people we serve is necessary because we see a tremendous need generally. We also see a need for internationals here in Korea to get involved more intimately in Korea society. Yeongdeung-po is an area of Seoul that is in need of support from people who desire to make a difference while they stay here in Korea. The work that is being done is not about us, but about the people we meet.
