Korea is such a vibrant country. Everywhere you turn there is a feast of colours. It doesn't matter whether you're in the middle of the city, lost in the country or shopping in your local Mart. Everything's bright, and I'm not just talking about the neon lights. The food covers every spectrum of the rainbow, I love the streets smothered in wall art with small buildings each painted a different colour. All below a lovely blue sky.
I'm always taking hundreds of pictures that I just end up deleting, or saving on my computer, so I was really excited when I was approached by Mimsie from the blog Seoul Searching to join her on a project she was doing.
Her project is called the Colors of Korea, and every blogger involved has picked a colour. We've then been let loose amongst the streets of Korea to play I spy with our colour, taking lots of snaps of things that not just match our colour, but are a good indication of Korean culture too.
Not only has this made me take a lot more notice of my surroundings, which is always great to do, but it means that I've discovered lots of great new Korean blogs to nosey at!
We'll be putting up our pictures at the end of next week, but in the meantime, why not have a look at some of these blogs?
Not only do I love Gwangju, where Ken Lum Lee of Seoul State of Mind lives, but I also love the pictures on the blog.
I really like the articles on Kimchi Bytes, especially their 10 things I hate about Korea post. I totally agree about the lack of bins but have to confess that I love the coupling clothes!
One more that I'll share today is Lost in the ROK. Most of the blogs that I follow are by people doing the same thing as me, teaching. So it's interesting to hear things from someone who is doing something different in Korea. Plus he has a dog of the week feature. I kind of find Korea's dogs so weirdly enthralling that I can't look away!!
